Rolling over to the left!

Posted by PicasaOkay, so this was an attempt to put a video clip on the blog, and although Picasa pretended to cooperate, all it actually did was post this thumbnail .jpg with a little "movie" logo in the corner. No matter how hard you click your mouse button, it won't play. Suffice to say that Erin learned to roll from tummy to back via her left side four days later than she figured out how to go via her right side. And that not every milestone will be preserved for eternity.

Rolling over! (In one direction, anyway.)

Yes, she has now mastered the skill of rolling over from tummy to back via her right side. Every awakening today (April 17 -- a milestone date) ended with her rolling to her back. Here she is caught in the act after her early-afternoon nap. And she couldn't stop showing off her new skill at playtime, too.

Significant new tool: The backpack. Adjusted properly, it allows baby to aim her spitup directly down the back of Mom's neck.

That neck move is actually important for rolling over, the way she does it.

Waiting patiently for real grub, not bothering to chew on the toy just now. Today set a record for most veggies in one day: half a jar of carrots (an old favorite) and half a jar of peas (first contact with peas). Posted by Picasa

Did she ever not like eating?

She's now (more than) happy eating carrots with a spoon. Carrots show up very well against a green bib.
